The handle can be adjusted and angled to fit the needs of all users. The handle has been tested to 200,000 cycles. This ensures that the finish is of high quality and performance is maintained over time. The lever that springs is adjustable to fit a broad range of locks. This is particularly useful for doors with narrower frames, where the cylinder is located further back. A shortened lever can also be used on doors that have a latch that can be activated with the thumb on the inside.

Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle is different from the lever handles that are found on most doors. These handle types are either operated by one spindle or two spindles inline or offset. They are usually employed on UPVC doors with double glazing. They come in a variety of finishes & variations.

All UPVC handle lever pads include a spindle and screws and can be mounted on the uPVC door. The 211mm backplate fixing centres permit a bigger size handle that can often be a benefit in replacing a defective or worn multi point door lock mechanism. The handle levers come with a spring, which solves the issue of door handles that sag out of the horizontal position when they are not being used.

When selecting the replacement UPVC handle and spindle it is crucial to match the dimensions of the PZ of both the multipoint lock and the uPVC door. This measurement is also called the "handle centre" or "cylinder centres and is an essential aspect in ensuring that you have the appropriate handles.

After you have determined the correct PZ size, you will need to ensure that the push and lever pads are designed to fit the American with Disabilities Act compliant handles you require for your door. These are typically rectangular or round in shape with an internal lever as well as an external push pad.

The majority of the UPVC Lever Pads we sell are sprung. This means they will return to a horizontal state when they are not in use instead of hanging, and possibly securing to the frame. This prevents draughts from entering the building. The majority of UPVC lever pad style handles come in both left and right handed versions that allow them to be put on either side of doors.

Euro Cylinder

Cylinder locks are commonly found on uPVC doors, but can also be used on other types of doors. The cylinder lock is operated by a key which unlocks the cylinder case. Euro Cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins with internal and external doors usually needing different levels of security.

Selecting the right cylinder for your needs is essential; it depends on the way your doors and handle are utilized. Doors that are external, for instance, should be fitted with cylinders with greater security and doors inside can be secured with the standard cylinder. Certain cylinders come with extra features that can improve security, like anti-drill or anti bump properties.

A euro cylinder needs to be properly measured to ensure it's the correct size for your door. The cylinder needs to be measured from the screw hole in the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, if there is one. If you are unable measure it using the lock in its position, you can take it out of it. It is crucial to avoid having a cylindrical lock that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This could make it vulnerable to lock snapping attacks.

Most modern cylinders are made with bump and anti-drill features that are built into their design. These are designed to reduce the chance of attack by forcing cylinders to turn in a new direction. This can help to deflect attacks and ensure your door is secure.

Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping. This is a more frequent kind of attack on cylinders where the break line in the lock is smashed using a special tool to break off the front of the cylinder to allow the door to be opened. This is a lot faster and easier to achieve than opening the door with a multipoint lock and leaves no evidence of a break-in, which could hinder the insurance claim.
